THAILAND LIFTS AFF CUP AFTER BEATING MALAYSIA ON AGREGATE

AFF CUP FINAL (SECOND-LEG): MALAYSIA 3 - THAILAND 2
*THAILAND WINS 4-3 ON AGREGATE

Thailand ended their 12-year drought in the AFF Suzuki Cup as late goals by Charyl Chappuis and Chanathip Songkrasin gave them a dramatic 4-3 aggregate victory over Malaysia in the second leg of the final at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday.

Trailing 2-0 from the first leg in Bangkok, Malaysia struck back on home soil and took the lead when Safiq Rahim scored his second goal of the game with a 58th minute free-kick to make it 3-0 after he had converted a seventh minute penalty and Indra Putra Mahayuddin had headed home just before half-time.

But Chappuis netted a precious away goal for the War Elephants after Farizal Marlias had fumbled a Sarach Yooyen free-kick in the 82nd minute and Chanathip sealed the Thai victory with a fine strike on the counter-attack three minutes from time. Having been the last Thailand captain to lift the ASEAN trophy in 2002, coach Kiatisuk Senamuang was delighted to be in charge of the team that won the title for a record-equalling fourth time.

THAILAND HOLDS THE ADVANTAGE OVER MALAYSIA

​AFF CUP FINAL (FIRST-LEG): THAILAND 2 - MALAYSIA 0

Thailand had the better advantage ahead of the AFF Suzuki Cup Final second leg after earning a 2-0 win over Malaysia in Bangkok yesterday. A 72nd minute penalty from Charyl Chappuis and a strike from Krokriet Thawikan put Thailand on course to win the AFF Suzuki Cup for the fourth time.

​Malaysia gave Thailand problems for much of the game playing bravely in midfield and staying strong at the back but the Thais excelled in the last 20 minutes. However, coach Dollah Salleh is confident that his team still have a good chance in the return leg at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. Malaysia have won the prestigious title once in 2010.

VIETNAM TAMED MALAYSIAN TIGERS

AFF SUZUKI CUP: MALAYSIA 1 - VIETNAM 2

Vietnam seized control of their AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final against Malaysia as a fine second-half strike by Nguyen Van Quyet earned them a come-from-behind 2-1 win in the first leg at Shah Alam Stadium on Sunday.

​Both teams had key players ruled out through suspension with captain Shukor Adan and forward Amri Yahyah missing for the home side and midfielder Vu Minh Tuan banned for Vietnam. The visitors made a vibrant start and should have taken the lead after only five minutes when Le Cong Vinh fed an unmarked Ngo Hoang Thinh who curled the ball narrowly wide from the edge of the Malaysia box.

​Malaysia struggled with the pace of the Vietnamese attack early on but took the lead through a Safiq Rahim penalty after 14 minutes. Vo Huy Toan netted a deserved equaliser in the 32nd minute after a fine counter-attack for the visitors. Van Quyet then fired home the winner on the hour to give his side a precious advantage to take into the return match in Hanoi on Thursday. The victory puts Vietnam firmly in the driving seat in the semi-final and coach Toshiya Miura was clearly delighted by his side's resilient display. Malaysia have much work to do in the return leg where they will need to score at least twice to avoid elimination.

MALAYSIA WENT DOWN TO VIETNAM IN FRIENDLY

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY: VIETNAM 3 - MALAYSIA 1

Malaysia's preparation for 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup competition is still in the negative form after losing to 3-1 to Vietnam in a friendly match at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, on Sunday. Having suffered with a heavy defeat against Syria last Wednesday, Malaysia still fail to make an impact while in overall performance it still looks gloom and clueless with another lackluster performance shown during the match played.

Malaysia started the game well in the first half after Mohd Amri Yahyah put the Malaysian Tigers in front with a fine finish in 23rd minutes. Malaysia should have added more goals but the players squandered the chances away which put the result remain unchanged until halftime.

Down by a goal, Vietnam started to pounced back with an attacking display and their effort worth after Mac Hong Quan leveled the score one minutes after restart followed by Nguyen Van Quyet penalty in 56th minutes before Ngo Hoang Thinh sealed the victory for Vietnam in 81st minutes. Despite the loss, Malaysia also finished the game with ten men after Muslim Ahmad was given a marching orders five minutes after the break due to a hard tackle against Mac Hong Quan.

MALAYSIA FALLS AT HOME TO SYRIA

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY: MALAYSIA 0 - SYRIA 3

Malaysia suffered another blow in their AFF Suzuki Cup warm-up match at Shah Alam Stadium on Wednesday. Dollah Salleh's team were humiliated 3-0 in the friendly against Syria

Malaysia started badly and conceded the opening goal just five minutes after kick-off. Nadim Sabag fired a loose ball through the napping defenders.

Malaysia tried to get back into the game with strikers Norshahrul Idlan Talaha and Mohd Amri Yahyah putting pressure on Syria. Syria doubled the lead after the break when skipper Sanharib Malki coverted an opportunity from a goalmouth melee.

The visitors found the net again the 65th minute as Omar Khrbin easily headed in for their third goal. Malaysia failed to take advantage on the wet home ground. Fadhli Shas was sent off for rough play in the 81st minute to add Malaysia's miserable night.

RASHID AND FAUZI SIGN-UP WITH FELDA

When other teams are still in holiday mood, Felda United is already busy preparing their 2015 Super League squad. The Premier League runners up has made early moves to strengthen their line-up. They are looking towards automatic qualification into AFC Cup as their new target. Felda United coach, Irfan Bakti has made some new signings and seven of his existing players will not be offered a new contract.

They players who are free to join another team is Mohd Rahman Bin ZabulK. ThanarajMohd Raimi Md NorMohd Haris SafwanMuhammad Asyraf Mohd Al JapriSolihin Kanasian and Yaroslav Krushelnitsky. While the new signings are Mohamad Rashid Mohamed Aya from Sarawak, Mohd Fauzan Dzulkifli, Mohd Firdaus Mohd Fauzi from Sime Darby FC and Muhammad Fauzi Roslan from Pahang.

PAHANG IS THE MALAYSIA CUP CHAMPIONS AGAIN

MALAYSIA CUP FINAL: PAHANG 2 - JOHOR DT 2
PAHANG WIN 5-3 IN PENALTY SHOOT-OUT

At Bukit Jalil Stadium, a 10 men Pahang remain their elite status in retaining the 88th edition of Malaysia Cup trophy for the second year in a row after beating Johor Darul Takzim in penalty shoot-out with 5-3 score, last night. In a high octane performance shown by both teams, the score was 2-2 after 90 minutes and the results stand still until end off extra time which put the game to be settled in penalty shoot out.

Dickson Nwakaeme put a cheer in Pahang camp after the Nigerian headed the ball into the net through a free kick taken by Azidan Sarudin in 15th minutes for an early lead. The celebration didn't take long for Pahang after a corner taken by Safiq Rahim went to Jorge Pereyza Diaz and the striker make no mistake to gave JDT an equalizer in 31st minutes. Four minutes later, JDT have been awarded a penalty after Pahang captain, Mohd Razman Roslan handed the ball inside the penalty box and Luciano Figueroa take the full advantage to put The Southern Tigers in front with 2-1 score.

In second half, JDT has added more sparks in their attack after Bojan Hodak make a changes by bringing in Amirul Hadi Zainal and NorSyahrul Idlan Talaha but the Pahang defenders lead by Damion Stewart defend well to block the attempt. An attempt by Luciano Figueroa in 52nd minutes saw the ball hit the post which Khairul Azhan already beaten.

Pahang were down to ten men after defender Mohd Saiful Nizam Miswan was given a marching orders for being fouled Mohd Amri Yahyah in 67th minutes. Due to the incident,Zainal Abidin Hassan has sacrificed Mathias Conte to strengthen the defense.

Dickson Nwakaeme once again put a cheer for Pahang after the striker leveled the score in 72nd minutes with a fine finish and the score remain still until 90th minutes play. As both team fails to hunt for more goals until 120 minutes played, the game was settled by penalties which Pahang completing all the penalty with scoring goals while NorShahrul fails on his attempt for JDT and the southern tigers dreams dash after 33 years in waiting.

JDT BEAT FELDA FOR FINAL SHOWDOWN AGAINST PAHANG


MALAYSIA CUP: JOHOR DT 3 - FELDA UNITED 1
Johor DT won with 6-5 aggregate.

Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) overturned their first leg defeat to Felda United to set up Malaysia Cup final match encounter against Pahang next Sunday. After a slim 4-3 away loss in the first leg, the Southern Tigers were looking to do better at home against Felda United

JDT had the service of midfielder Safiq Rahim, who had to sit out the first leg due to suspension. The home side were the more aggresive after the whistle was blown. JDT found their most needed goal in the 28th minute when Luciano Figueroa curled a free kick to beat Farizal Harun. The goal gave JDT the equalizer to the overall semi-final score, with the advantage of the three away goals scored in Selayang.


As usual, The Fighters did not give up easily. Raimi found the net ten minutes before the break after receiving a beautiful pass from Ndumba Makeche. And they were back into the game.

JDT headed into the second half with the same objective. Figueroa found the net again in the 63rd minute after playing a good combination with Diaz. Diaz turned provider again 10 minutes later, when he released Amri Yahyah with a short through pass at the edge of the box. Amri did finely by chipping the ball over Farizal to make it 3-1 to JDT.


Nazrin Nawi was sent off just moments before the final whistle, but JDT was already in the celebration mood for reaching their first ever Malaysia Cup final.



PAHANG THRASHED KEDAH FOR MALAYSIA CUP FINAL



MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 5 - KEDAH 0
Pahang won with 6-3 agregate.

Pahang confirmed a slot in the Malaysia Cup Final, after defeating Kedah 6-3 in the semi-final second leg match in Kuantan yesterday. The Tok Gajah squad were having a goal fest on their home ground after scoring five goals.

As expected, Pahang went all out from the kick-off finding the goals needed to overcome the 1-3 deficit from the first leg match in Alor Setar. Matias Ruben Conti turned on the fighting spirit for the home side when he headed in the opening goal in the 4th minute. Kedah tried to hang on, but Pahang doubled their lead when R. Gopinathan powerful shot beat Saiful Amar Sudar in the 25th minute. Just a minute before the half hour, Pahang was back in the Malaysia Cup again as Conti slotted in their third goal from Azidan's cross. Kedah struggled to hold on their fort anymore. Conti completed his hattrick in the 36th minute after receiving a nice pass from Dickson Nwakaeme.
   
Kedah returned for the second half more aggressive than ever. They launched some attacks into Pahang's area, but the defenders were rock solid. But then, Nwakaeme added Pahang's fifth of the night in the 73rd minute after a solo run from half way line. Pahang held on tightly and avoided making any mistakes. The match ended with Pahang win 5-0 over Kedah.

TEN MEN FELDA SURVIVED FIRST LEG WITH NARROW WIN



MALAYSIA CUP: FELDA UNITED 4 - JOHOR DT 3

Felda United proved that they are capable to go all the way in the Malaysia Cup after defeating Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) 4-3 yesterday. The ten men Fighters upset the star studded JDT in a thrilling semifinal match at Selayang Stadium.

Edward Wilson Jr launched a stunning shot to give Felda United the lead in the 7th minute. Despite having strong support from their fans, JDT failed to rise up to their expectations. Syamim Yahya doubled the advantage when he scored Felda United's second of night in two minutes from the break.



Felda United did not fade in the second half. They came on stronger to control the rest of the match. But JDT did not let it go easily as Jorge Pereyra Diaz found the net in the 51st minute.

Then it was another blow for the fighters when Nasriq Baharom was sent-off after two bookable offence. With a man down, Felda United did not show any signs of giving up. Ndumba Makeche slammed home in the 62nd minute to put the Fighters 3-1 up.



Irfan Bakti took out Edward Wilson and replaced him with a defender to stop the Southern Tigers. Luciano Figueroa punished Felda United's backs with JDT's second goal in the 80th minute. Eight minutes later, JDT got the much awaited equalizer when Pereyra Diaz scored his second of the match. 

It was an awful defensive errors and the home crowd were shocked and frustrated. However, Fighters will always be fighters. Makeche sent a brilliant lob to beat JDT's defenders and goalkeeper in the dying minutes. At the end of the match, Felda United took a slim advantage ahead of the second leg match which will be played at Larkin Stadium in Johor.

COMFORT WIN FOR KEDAH IN ALOR SETAR

MALAYSIA CUP: KEDAH 3 - PAHANG 1

Kedah are just a step away into the semi-finals after grabbing a comfortable 3-1 win over Pahang in Darulaman Stadium yesterday. The Red Eagles were in front after Namgung Woong broke the deadlock in 8th minute after receiving a pass from Rizal Ghazali. Shocked by the goal, the visitors double their effort and almost had an equalizer but R.Gopinath blew the chances in front of the goal. Pahang continued to play an attacking style with long range attempts but failed to find the net. The score remain 1-0 in the first half.

In second half, a quick counter attack has given Kedah a bigger lead after Farhan Roslan headed the ball into the net after receiving a cross from Baddrol Bakhtiar.  Pahang added more spark into the frontline and the effort worth after Mathias Conti reduced the deficit after his free kick was deflected by Kedah defender before the ball flew into the net and left Saiful Amar Sudar in wrong direction helplessly. With the result looks to end with 2-1 score, Billy Mehmet tapped the ball to Khyril Muhaimeen Zambri and the ex-national hit man slot the ball for the third goal for Kedah which gave them an extra advantage for the second meeting at Kuantan this Friday.

JOHOR DT ENDS TERENGGANU'S SEASON IN LARKIN



MALAYSIA CUP QUARTER FINAL: JDT 3 - TERENGGANU 1
JDT WIN 3-1 ON AGGREGATE

Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) confirmed their place in semi-final of the 2014 Malaysia Cup after defeating Terengganu 3-1 at Larkin Stadium yesterday. Former national captain Safiq Rahim scored a brace to steer his team to join best four of the tournament.

JDT put Terengganu under pressure from the start with their aggressive approach. It took them fifteen minutes to celebrate their opening goal when Safiq Rahim cleverly headed in Nazrin Mohd Nawi's cross.

Terengganu struggled to settle down on the Larkin's pitch, while JDT took full advantage of playing in front of their own fans. Luciano Figueroa doubled their lead in the 21st minute after receiving a perfect pass from Mohd Amri Yahyah. Terengganu held on until the break.

The visitors came on stronger in the second half. They showed signs of improvement and found the net through Mohd Ashari's solo effort in the 60th minute.

As the Turtles were gunning for an equalizer, Safiq Rahim added another goal for the Southern Tigers in the 74th minute. Amri Yahyah turned provider again for the goal. JDT slowed down and defended strongly to ensure their spot in the Malaysia Cup semi-final is secured.

FIGHTERS HOLD GIANTS FOR SEMI FINAL SPOT



MALAYSIA CUP QUARTER FINAL: FELDA UNITED 3 - SELANGOR 3
FELDA UNITED WIN 7-3 ON AGGREGATE

At Temerloh Stadium, Felda United become the first team to book a place in semi final stage of 2014 Malaysia Cup edition after edging Selangor with a 7-3 win on aggregate last Friday.

Fresh in beating the Red Giants with 4-0 win from the first meeting, Felda United continued their fine form and manage to get a 3-3 draw result which put The Fighters in the right track to create a history in Malaysia football story.

As for Selangor, trailing by 4 goals really put them in desperate situation. Red Giants trio of Muhammad Afiq Azmi, Andik Vermansyah and Paulo Rangel really did well in attack but unable to find the net due to solid performance shown by the Felda defender. 

The red giants open the score with Paulo Rangel strike in 33th minutes after receiving a pass from Afiq. Two minutes after the break, Edward Junior Wilson level the score to 1-1 before Andik Vermansyah put Selangor ahead five minutes later followed by the third goal from Rangel in 60th minutes to give Selangor a 3-1 lead. 

Selangor keep up the pressure in seeking for more goals which have put Irfan Bakti in alert to makes a few changes in his lineups. Edward Junior Wilson reduce the deficit in 70th minutes and Indra Putra Mahayuddin leveled the score 12th minutes later to put an end for Selangor's Mission 33.

RED GIANTS GET MALAYSIA CUP BASHING FROM THE FIGHTERS



MALAYSIA CUP: SELANGOR 0 - FELDA UNITED 4

The Red Giants suffered one of their most humiliating and embarassing defeat in the Malaysia Cup when Felda United thrashed them 4-0 in their first-leg quarter-final match at the Shah Alam Stadium on Friday.

The Fighters are taking a comfortable advantage into the second-leg including a four-goal away cushion at the Selayang Stadium on Oct 10. Felda United have virtually qualified for the semi-finals of Malaysia's premier football competition under former Selangor coach, Irfan Bakti.

Ndumba Makeche turned hero for Felda United after firing a hattrick with goals in the 22nd, 84th and 86th minutes while Liberian hitman Edward Junior Wilson got one on 45 minutes, leaving the Red Giants' fans shell shocked and a day to remember.

The stunning result at the Shah Alam Stadium also virtually destroyed Selangor's "Mission 33″ having won the most sought after Malaysia Cup trophy a record 32 times.

RED WARRIORS TAKE A COMFORTABLE LEAD



MALAYSIA CUP: KELANTAN 3 - KEDAH 1

Kelantan displayed a brilliant performance to beat Kedah 3-1 in their Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match in Kota Bharu on Friday. The home side took control from kick off and gave their fans an early celebration just after seven minutes with a goal from Francis Forkey Doe.

Being the deadliest striker in the Red Warriors squad, Forkey Doe doubled the lead with a second goal in the 24th minute. Kedah played in a heavy pressure inside the full house Sultan Mohamad IV Stadium and failed to stop the attacks by Kelantan.

Despite an improved performance in the second half, Kedah found themselves three goals down as Fakri Saarani scored the third goal for The Red Warriors to add more misery for the visitors. The visitors finally got a consolation goal after Syafiq Ahmad scored in the 72nd minute to end the game 3-1.

RANGEL GIVES RED GIANTS THE SULTAN SELANGOR CUP

SULTAN SELANGOR CUP: SELANGOR 2 - SINGAPORE 1

Selangor put a brace to hold up the Sultan Selangor Cup for the third year in a row after defeating Singapore with a 2-1 win at Shah Alam Stadium last Saturday.Playing infront of 70,000 home crowds, the Red Giants looks fierce and strong and Selangor almost get an early lead in 30th minutes with a strike from Paulo Rangel but were denied by The Lions defense.

A good combination within Andik Vermansyah, Paulo Rangel and Mohd Bunyamin Umar saw Selangor control the game well and pushing the Singapore in difficult situation which contributing a yellow card for Hafiz Sujad.Two minutes before half break, Wahyudi Wahid hack down Paulo Rangel in the penalty area and the referee have awarded Selangor a Penalty which Paulo Rangel itself contributing the penalty and give The Red Giants a 1-0 lead.



Singapore were down to 10 men after Hafiz Sujad were given a marching orders by the referee due to second bookable.

In second half. Down by ten men, The Lions take the game more cautions and seldom making counter attacks and their effort worth after Leonel Felicia leveled the score with his free kick in 68th minutes.Both team performed a good fight but it was Rangel to steal the lime light after the Brazilian netted the second goal in 80th minutes to put Selangor a comfort victory against the Lions with 2-1 score.



With the win, Selangor receiving RM 50,000-00 and Singapore received RM10,000-00 for the runners up spot. This win also has put Selangor in a right track for the 33rd Malaysia Cup mission which will start this Friday in quarter final stage.
 
Meanwhile, at the same vanue before the match, The Selangor Veteran team get a draw result against the Singapore veterans which Dollah Salleh put the Selangor veterans in front before Steven Tan put an equalized for the Singapore veterans 12th minutes later.

JDT CHASING SECOND TITLE ON THE SEASON



MALAYSIA CUP: ATM 0 - JDT 1

ATM's 2014 Malaysia Cup season is finally over, in the hands of JDT. The star studded JDT defeated the Gladiators on their home ground, the Selayang Stadium. ATM started well, but JDT was a class above. The Southern Tigers showed a lot of flair.



Amri Yahyah almost put the visitors infront in the 6th minute, but his attempt was blocked by ATM's goalkeeper Syed Adney. Five minutes later, the former Selangor star set-up a good chance for Luciano Figueroa. However his shot was cleared by an ATM's defender.



In the 19th minute, Nazrin Nawi sent a perfect through pass for Figueroa to beat Syed Adney. The Gladiators tried to fight back, but visitors are having their best form of the season. The score remained until the final whistle. JDT confirmed their quarter final slot, but ATM's season is over.

THE FIGHTERS THROUGH TO QUARTERFINALS


MALAYSIA CUP: JDTII 1 - FELDA UNITED 3

Felda United showed that they have everything they need when playing away from home by defeating JDTII 3-1 yesterday. The home side failed to utilize their home ground advantage in a match which send Felda to the next stage.

Zah Rahan Krangar opened the scoring for Felda United in the 6th minute. Unable to recover from that early goal, JDTII were punished again with a second goal by Ahmad Syamin Yahya.

The Fighters played brilliantly and Mohd Raimi Md Noor pulled Felda United further with the third five minutes after the break. JDTII finally got a consolation goal in the 85th minute, but it was too late for the home side to spoil Felda United's party. 


PENANG FALL AGAIN AS KELANTAN MARCH ON



MALAYSIA CUP: PULAU PINANG 1 - KELANTAN 3

Kelantan squeezed into quarterfinal after a 3-1 win over Pulau Pinang at Bandaraya Stadium last night. The Red Warriors broke the deadlock in the 34th minute after Wan Zaharulnizam attempt found the net. Penang tried to bounce back, but Kelantan held on until the break.

Luiz Ricardo Dos Santos gave the home fans something to cheer with an equalizer three minutes after the restart. The Red Warrior started to show their true determination.

Khairul Izuan Rosli over head kick beat Khairul Amri in the 69th minute, before Forkey Doe added another goal for the visitors in the 82nd minute. Kelantan join JDT in the quarter final, while Penang and ATM heads for the exit.

PAHANG RETURNS WITH WIN OVER FELDA



MALAYSIA CUP: FELDA UNITED 0 - PAHANG 2

Pahang got a sweet revenge after last weekend's Malaysia Cup defeat to Felda United in Kuantan with a 2-0 win in a Group A match at Selayang Stadium.

The Elephants were without injured first choice goalkeeper Khairul Azhan Khalid. But the replacement, Mohd Nasril Nourdin pulled several top class saves to deny Felda's Premier League Golden Boot winner Edward Wilson Junior.

P. Gopinathan broke the deadlock in the 66th minute after completing a pass from Hafiz Kamal pass inside the penalty box. Nigerian striker Dickson Nwakaeme penalty kick two minutes into stoppage time handed Pahang all three points.

Group A is still wide open. Pahang, now lead with nine points, They just need only one point from their next two matches to qualify for the last eight. Felda are second with seven followed by JDTII (4) and Lions (2).





SIME DARBY SNATCHED FULL POINTS FROM SELANGOR



MALAYSIA CUP: SELANGOR 1 - SIME DARBY 2

Selangor failed to utilised their home advantage against Sime Darby in another Malaysia Cup match. The Red Giants were beaten 1-2 by Sime Darby. The home side did not show enough determination, while Sime Darby displayed a brilliant performance and threaten Selangor's quarter final chance. The first half ended goalless.



Ahmad Hazwan Bakri put Selangor ahead after receiving a pass from Paulo Rangel in the 63rd minute. But Sime Darby did not sit back after the goal. The Giant Killers increased their efforts and earned the equalizer through Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin in the 75th minute.

Ashfaq scored the winner four minutes from time with his tournament leading sixth goal to preserve The Cops 100 per cent record having given his side the lead with a 21st-minute penalty.
 
Jimmy Mulisa headed the home side level in the 51st minute but T-Team, who finished with 10 men following Faizal Muhammad's late sending off, retain a slim chance of qualifying. PDRM have the maximum 12 points for an unassailable lead at the top of the standings, with two more matches to play.

MALAYSIA CUP: JDT 5 - PENANG 0

Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) took another big step towards qualifying the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup after an impressive 5-0 win over Penang yesterday.

Jorge Pereyra Diaz netted JDT's opening goal in the third minute in his first start for his club since returning from Argentina before Luciano Figueroa converted from the penalty spot in the 29th minute followed by Amri Yahyah's strike nine minutes later.



After the break, Figueroa netted his second in the 54th minute to give the Southern Tigers a 4-0 lead before Harris Harun added a fifth seven minutes from time. JDT lead the group with 10 points, four ahead of second-placed Kelantan with two rounds left followed by ATM (5) and Penang (1).

RED GIANTS GRAB A WIN AGAINST SIME DARBY



MALAYSIA CUP : SIME DARBY 0 - SELANGOR 2


Selangor move up to second place of group D table after grabbing a victory against Sime Darby FC at Selayang Stadium last Saturday. Paulo Rangel break the deadlock in 17th minutes with his fine shot from a free kick. The Brazilian talisman once again had a chances to extend the lead in 27th minutes but his effort were denied by Sime Darby FC goalkeeper Sufian Abdul Rahman.



Mehmet Durokovic were forced to replace Abdul Hadi Yahya with Ahmad Hazwan in 32nd minutes and The ex Harimau Muda A player prove his worth by netting the second goal 2 minutes later.

Ismail Zakaria of Sime Darby make a few changes by bringing in Juzaili Samion and Yosri Derma Raju to strengthen their defense. The Giant Killers look stronger in second half and Fadzli Shaari almost put his name in score sheet in 57th minutes but the goal was disallowed.



Ten minutes later a brace from Mateo Roskam had the chances but his header were well saved by Farizal Merlias. Selangor have gain 6 points from three games played and Sime Darby are at rock bottom with pointless after losing all three games played.
