RED WARRIORS TAKE A COMFORTABLE LEAD

MALAYSIA CUP: KELANTAN 3 - KEDAH 1

Kelantan displayed a brilliant performance to beat Kedah 3-1 in their Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match in Kota Bharu on Friday. The home side took control from kick off and gave their fans an early celebration just after seven minutes with a goal from Francis Forkey Doe.

Being the deadliest striker in the Red Warriors squad, Forkey Doe doubled the lead with a second goal in the 24th minute. Kedah played in a heavy pressure inside the full house Sultan Mohamad IV Stadium and failed to stop the attacks by Kelantan.

Despite an improved performance in the second half, Kedah found themselves three goals down as Fakri Saarani scored the third goal for The Red Warriors to add more misery for the visitors. The visitors finally got a consolation goal after Syafiq Ahmad scored in the 72nd minute to end the game 3-1.
