MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: ATM 1 - TERENGGANU 5
Terengganu thrashed ATM 5-1 on their own ground in Saturday's Super League match in Seremban. Issey Nakajima-Farran's second-half hattrick sent the Gladiators further into the relegation zone.
Ismail Faruqi opened the scoring for Terengganu with a header in the 17th minute. Abdulafees Abdulsalam equalised for ATM six minutes later as his curling free kick beat the visitors' goalkeeper.
The second half resumed and the Turtles shifted into top gear. Gustavo Lopez put Terengganu in-front again from a freekick five minutes after the restart. Substitute, Nakajima-Farran gave Terengganu their third of the night with a tap-in from Norshahrul Idlan Talaha's cross.
The Canadian striker completed his hattrick after scoring another two goals in the 73rd and 80th minute. The result sent Terengganu up to seventh place above PDRM.
