Brazil coach Dunga has demanded more from his side after their narrow success over North Korea in their opening World Cup match at Ellis Park. The five-time World Cup winners were made to work every step of the way for their 2-1 victory and struggled to break down a well-drilled North Korea defence on a chilly evening in Johannesburg.
Dunga's men left the field at the interval with the score locked at 0-0 but they finally managed to break the deadlock in the second period. Dunga admitted his side suffered from some nerves and has called for greater penetration in the coming matches against Ivory Coast and Portugal.
Robinho was Brazil's outstanding performer on the night, with the Manchester City forward, who is currently on loan at Santos providing the pass of the tournament so far to set up Elano for the second goal. The talented attacker, who showed great desire and purpose alongside his usual flicks and tricks, admitted North Korea had made them work very hard.
