MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: JDT 2 - SARAWAK 1
Johor Darul Ta'zim continued their defence of the league title they won last year by beating Sarawak. They secured vital three points after coming from behind to secure a morale-boosting victory over Sarawak on Saturday.
The home side started the game well, but the Crocs kept their defence tight. The visitor were very dangerous on the counter. Billy Mehmet fired home to make it 1-0 midway through the first half.
JDT fought back for an equaliser. Safiq Rahim gave their fan a big relief as he curled home to make it 1-1. Safiq hits again before Sarawak could recover with a long range effort right before the break.
The second half was a balance contest, both sides had their fair share of opportunities. JDT held on tight to secure the valuable three points.
