DESAILLY: ARGENTINA IS STRONG WITH OR WITHOUT MESSI

World Cup winner with the great French team of 1998, Marcel Desailly told Laureus.Com that he's confident Argentina can win the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Although he feels Lionel Messi is having difficulties to deliver for his country because of the different tactical set-up, but he believes Argentina is an amazing team with all the players that they have - Aguero, Higuain, di Maria, Zabaleta, Demichelis.

However, Desailly is not writing off defending champions Spain chances at the upcoming competition. Based on his experience, it was too tough to win a second time with France in 2002 although they had a great opportunity. The pressure is too much to handle. Though,  he thinks Spain collectively, tactically, have the players.

The former France international was pleased about Brazil in the Confederations Cup, on their capacity to handle pressure.  The enthusiasm was amazing. But for the World Cup, he thinks that they will struggle a little bit to handle that pressure to deliver. It will not come easy like everybody is thinking. Desailly also feels that Germany collectively is very good, but not any individual player who will there to make the difference.

FELDA UNITED CRUISES INTO FIRST EVER FA CUP FINAL

MALAYSIA FA CUP: FELDA UNITED 2(3) - KELANTAN 2(3)
*Felda United wins on away goals rule.

Felda United reached their first major final in the M-League after overcoming defending champions Kelantan on away goals in the FA Cup semi-final second leg 2-2 draw at Shah Alam Stadium yesterday. Edward Junior Wilson's top-class strike sealed Premier League outfit Felda United's historic entry into the FA Cup final. The Premier League side will face reigning Malaysia Cup champions Pahang in the title deciding match on Saturday at National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

Felda were cautious and defended stoutly, frustrating the visiting team on numerous occasions. The Red Warriors missed a golden opportunity in the 17th minute when Wan Zaharulnizam Wan Zakaria was set up in the box but his point blank attempt was blocked by Felda goalkeeper Farizal Harun.

Undeterred, the homeside pressed forward and netted through Indra Putra Mahayuddin in the 20th minute. The former international headed home after Shukor Adan's rising shot was parried into his path by Kelantan goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat. Four minutes later, Forkey Doe could have leveled for Kelantan but his shot in Felda's penalty box rocked the crossbar. Kelantan continued to put pressure on Felda's defence and their persistence was rewarded in the 29th minute when Izuan Rosli latched onto a through ball before scoring from a grounder.

Felda's leaky back-line was exploited once again five minutes later through Doe's neat finish after the Liberia international had picked up a through pass.

But Edward Junior Wilson silenced the Kelantan fans with an amazing goal in the first half of stoppage time. The Liberia international's intended cross from the left instead swerved over Kelantan keeper Khairul and into the back of the net for the equaliser.

Four minutes into the second half, Wilson almost scored a second goal but his powerful volley sailed over the Kelantan crossbar. Felda played tight and were defensive in the closing minutes while Kelantan tried hard to score a third but to no avail.
