SELANGOR CLAIMS FIRST WIN IN SHAH ALAM


MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SELANGOR 1 - KELANTAN 0

Selangor is back on winning form after edging Kelantan 1-0 at Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday night. It was a perfect starts on their return to the original home ground.


The win sent Selangor to the top spot of Malaysia Super League with Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang, sharing the lead with 13 points each after yesterday's matches.

Kelantan gave the home side an early scare by earning a penalty in the 20th minute. However, Forkey Doe had his penalty saved by Selangor goalkeeper Farizal Marlias.


Just two minutes later, Selangor was awarded a penalty too. Paulo Rangel made no mistake from the spot to score his eighth league goal of the season. The goal was enough to give the Red Giants their first win in more than a month.
