MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 3 - PKNS 2
Pahang made a second half fight back to record a win over PKNS in the Malaysia Cup quarter final in Kuantan on Friday. The Dollah Salleh boys finally showed their true potential in this stage despite losing badly in Kota Bharu last week.
However the win did not come easy for Pahang. After a stunning start with a goal from Matias Conti in the first minute, PKNS replied with 2 goals from Patrick Ronaldinho in the 36th minute, and Mohd Lot Abu Hasan in the 38th. The home side went into the break with a goal down.
Pahang came back in the second half in great determinations. They finally got the equaliser 4 minutes after the restart from another goal from Conti. The home team increased their game and pushed further into PKNS area.
Matias Conti proved that he is the best front man in Pahang when he completed his hattrick in the 58th minute. PKNS tried to respond from the goal, but Pahang's defence was back at their best to keep the score until the full time. The win gave the home fans some air to breath before the second leg next week.
