JDT BEAT PERAK IN MALAYSIA CUP OPENING MATCH

PIALA MALAYSIA: JOHOR DT 2 - PERAK 0

Johor DT (JDT) Kicked-off their 2015 Malaysia Cup campaign in style with a 2-0 victory over Perak at Larkin Stadium on Friday night. The Malaysia Super League Champions are looking good in chasing a trophy double this season.

The Southern Tigers scored two goals in three first half minutes to grab early control of the game against a dangerous Perak side in the Group B encounter.

National striker Safee Sali opened the scoring in the 17th minute after receiving a pass from S.Chanturu. And the homeside took another advantage three minutes later when Chanturu added the second by himself.

Despite their best efforts, Perak weren't able to get back into the match in the second half with JDT comfortably in command. Their evening was further soured when defender Hisyamuddin Shaari was shown a 90th minute red card.
