PAHANG JUMPS TO THE TOP OF SUPER LEAGUE

LIGA SUPER: PAHANG 1 - PERAK 0

Pahang moved to the top of Malaysia Super League after defeating Perak with 1-0 at Darulmakmur Stadium. Mathias Conti sealed the victory for the Tok Gajah in 70th minutes through penalty after a Perak player handled the ball inside the box, forcing the referee to point to the spot.

Perak responded by pushing forward in the last twenty minutes hunting for an equalizer. But Pahang held on to protect their lead and ultimately clinch the win.

With six wins and two draws from ten matches played, Pahang are now leading the way with 20 points two points ahead of second and third placed PDRM and JDT. Pahang coach, Zainal Abidin Hasan was full of praises for his team as this win will be a perfect tonic for the Tok Gajah for their upcoming match. Pahang will meet Kelantan in the FA Cup semifinal showdown at Darulmakmur Stadium on Saturday.
