Barcelona went six points clear at the top of La Liga after brushing aside the challenge of title hopefuls Valencia. A hat-trick from Thierry Henry and a third from Daniel Alves wrapped things up for Barca at the Camp Nou as they pulled further away from second placed Villarreal.
It was former Arsenal striker Henry who put Barcelona on their way to victory with two goals inside eight first half minutes. And Henry completed his hat-trick when substitute Bojan Krkic ghosted into the area and cut the ball back for the striker to tap home from close range.
